Product code: 91305 Materials: White art print in wooden frame, with glass Artist/Creator: Ed McLachlan Dimensions: 45cm x 30cm framed Categories: Satirical, Bench & Bar
This fantastic drawing by Ed McLachlan depicts a barrister's five stages of life. The figure starts his career as a sprightly, keen, gung-ho Junior, and gradually turns into a hunched, portly, red-faced (but no doubt richer) QC. The caption says:
"Old Lawyers Never Die. They Just Lose Their Appeal."
The picture comes mounted and framed, and is ready to hang on your wall. The print itself measures 35cm x 20cm. Once mounted and placed in its wooden framed it is approximately 45cm x 30cm. The frame uses glass.
McLachlan's genius is in pointing out a verifiable truth of a life at the Bar - that it tires you out! - but doing so affectionately. This picture makes a great present to a colleague, or just something original to hang in your chambers.
