A porcelain mug which takes its design from the classic Penguin book series of 1946, featuring dramatic, typographic design in grey, black and orange details.

Dostoyevsky's 'Crime and Punishment' is an apposite mug for lawyers and other servants of the law. The story recounts the mental anguish and moral dilemmas of Rodion Romanovich Raskolnikov, an impoverished St. Petersburg student who formulates and executes a plan to kill a hated, unscrupulous pawnbroker for her money, thereby solving his financial problems and at the same time, he argues, ridding the world of evil. It is considered the first of Dostoyevsky's cycle of great novels, which culminated with The Brothers Karamazov, shortly before his death.

The reverse of the mug has a brief synopsis of the tale, and a quote from Raskolnikov.

Fully dishwasher proof. Half pint.
