This handpainted barrister bottle-stopper is produced by a Devon-based company whose roots are in pottery manufacturing.

The figure is made out of clay, and then handpainted. The detail is wonderful and cannot really be seen in our photo: he has bushy eyebrows, florid cheeks, a jutting chin, a wonderfully detailed wig, and, of course, barrister's gown.

It's a fun present for a newly-qualifying barrister - and even for one a bit longer in the tooth!
