This illustration first appeared in a Victorian magazine article in the 1890s on the subject of damages awards for personal injury. It shows a variety of different facial feature losses, and the compensation which plaintiffs could expect to receive for their injuries if they proved negligence. The illustration is reproduced by Carbolic Smoke Ball on parchment paper, and supplied mounted and framed.
