| | Westminster Hall has been described as the seed-bed of English law. Within the area enclosed by its walls the law of England and Wales emerged and evolved and was developed by the judges of the courts which sat in it.This drawing is by Royal Academician, Feliks Topolski who drew it in 1961 as part of a series called 'Legal London'. It depicts two judges outside Westminster Hall at the reopening of the law courts.Master alike of giant murals and 'small scribbles', as he called them, Toploski was described by Bernard Shaw as "an astonishing draughtsman." His pictures are highly collectible and remain as vivid and relevant today as when they were drawn nearly a half-century ago.You can see other prints in the Legal London series by typing the word 'Topolski' in the Search box of this site. The 'Legal London' book, which contains all the Topolski prints, has long been out of print, but Carbolic Smoke Ball occasionally comes across copies in dealer catalogues, which it offers for sale to keen Topolski fans. | | Price: £15.33 | | In stock, usually dispatched within 24 hours | | Show price in: | |
