| | A little known legal cartoon, but most memorable by the Scottish artist Martin Anderson, who signed his pictures as 'Cynicus'.Born in 1854, Anderson was a station master's son from Leuchars who had a dazzling career as a cartoonist, amassing from his work as an artist and from his coloured postcard business in Tayport enough money to build "Castle Cynicus" near Balmullo. He did a number of pictures about the legal profession, of which this is one.
